You're Not Behind

You're Not Behind

Hey,

on the 15th of each month, I share a short motivation for artists just a thought, a reminder, or a different perspective. This is January’s.

January can be loud. Everyone seems to be optimizing, announcing plans, chasing momentum.

It’s easy to look around and feel like you’re late. Like others are further ahead. Like you should be doing more.

But here’s something worth remembering:

You’re not behind.

Comparison distorts reality. You see highlights, not process. Results, not repetition. Noise, not depth.

Loud doesn’t mean meaningful. Fast doesn’t mean forward. And visibility doesn’t always mean growth.

Real work is often quiet. Focused. Unseen.

Going at your own pace isn’t a weakness, it’s part of what makes your art yours.

There’s no deadline for art. No universal timeline you need to follow.

So if this January feels calm, slow, or introspective, trust that rhythm.

You’re not behind. You’re building in your own time.
